I fix operations and build the tools they run on.

London. Currently building Draped.

Nine years at Tesco and three at TripAdvisor, mostly in the gap between the data and the operation. Since March 2026 I have been building my own things.

The jobs I have liked most started with something that nobody had got underneath yet, like planners ordering stock from China on spreadsheets, or a founder who had paid for a week of traffic with no way of telling whether the problem was the traffic or the product. I like finding out what is going on and then building the thing that makes it run, and handing it over to the people who are going to run it.

Right now that thing is Draped, an anti-fast-fashion shopping app I am building on my own, and the set of Claude Code routines I run my own week on, which I have written up in how I work.
